Rodney & Cherlyn Domeier, along with Domeier Farms, Inc., are proud to carry on the Verola Angus Farms tradition. Verola Angus Farms began in 1949, when Vern and Zeola Domeier started the family enterprise using Black Angus, a hardy animal known for its easy calving, rapid maturation, high carcass yield, and quality marbled meat. Nearly 60 years later, Angus has become the most popular breed of beef animal in the United States, and Verola Angus Farms continues to supply the finest breeding stock to farmers and ranchers across the Midwest.

Rod received his first heifer calf at the age of twelve (as have all the sons and grandchildren of the family), and began his own farming and small cattle operation in 1965 during his senior year of high school. He later graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Animal Science and, after serving two years in the military, began farming full time with Vern and Zeola in 1971.

When it was time for change in the industry, Verola Angus Farms responded with the addition of new females, artificial insemination, and complete production data. With energy and enthusiasm, Verola Angus Farms competed in the show ring as well as at the test station, developing a reputation across the Midwest for producing top quality Registered Angus.

We continue to supply high caliber animals by offering the best of our calf crop, which are marketed through private treaty sales. Please stop by and visit us at Verola Angus Farms, located at our original rural Sutton location.
